This artwork by Martín Ramírez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Untitled (Train And Tunnel) sold for USD 60,000.00 (€ 51,413.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Ramírez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 154,511.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Martín Ramírez erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Train And Tunnel) für USD 60.000,00 (€ 51.413,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Ramírez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 154.511,74) versteigert wurde.
