Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Martín Ramírez was auctioned at Christies in New York in February last year. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,978.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Ramírez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 154,511.74).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Martín Ramírez kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.978,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Ramírez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Tunnels and Train), 1950s beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 154.511,74) versteigert wurde.
