David Hockney, born on 09.07.1937 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, is one of the most important visual artists of the 20th century. Since the beginning of his artistic career, he has been influenced by various artists and has experienced several stylistic changes. His Swimming Pool oil paintings (1964) from his early creative period in Los Angeles are some of his most influential and best-known works.
