Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oriental Lights by Richard Pousette-Dart was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,334.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).

Die Arbeit Oriental Lights von Richard Pousette-Dart kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.334,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
