Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Serpentine Saffron by Richard Pousette-Dart. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,804.99), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Serpentine Saffron von Richard Pousette-Dart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.804,99) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
