The work White Presence to My Father by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 151,200.00 (€ 138,613.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).

Die Arbeit White Presence to My Father von Richard Pousette-Dart wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 138.613,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
