The work Sky Maze by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,364.80), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).

Die Arbeit Sky Maze von Richard Pousette-Dart wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.364,80) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
