Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Golden Crystals by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 138,600.00 (€ 118,027.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
