Auction result well in line with expectations

This work without title by Richard Pousette-Dart was auctioned at Christies in London in September this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,714.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Pousette-Dart kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.714,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen.
