both S. 22 x 29 3/8 in. (55.9 x 74.6 cm)
one signed, dated `1985' and numbered 7/40 in pencil (there were also 24 various proofs), published by Strother/Elwood Art Editions, New York, occasional soft handling creases and minor soiling, otherwise both in very good condition, both framed.

The work Just Watch and See (diptych) by Ida Applebroog was sold in the Modern and Contmporary Editions auction at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,501.40), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ida Applebroog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Knife), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29).

Die Arbeit Just Watch and See (diptych) von Ida Applebroog wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Modern and Contmporary Editions bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.501,40) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ida Applebroog mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Knife) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.029,29) versteigert wurde.
