Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Just Watch and See by Ida Applebroog was auctioned at Phillips in New York in December 2010. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,826.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ida Applebroog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Knife), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Just Watch and See von Ida Applebroog kam im Dezember 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.826,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ida Applebroog mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Knife) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.029,29) versteigert wurde.
