Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ida Applebroog for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,197.76). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Part I and Part II at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ida Applebroog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Knife), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2007 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ida Applebroog für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.197,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ida Applebroog mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Knife) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.029,29) versteigert wurde.
