Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Cigarette Stub) by Ida Applebroog for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,269.13). This price was achieved in the auction Open House at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ida Applebroog have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Knife) in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Cigarette Stub) von Ida Applebroog für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.269,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Open House bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ida Applebroog auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Knife) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.029,29).
