Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Modern and Contemporary Editions, which included the work Executive Tower Suite by Ida Applebroog. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,938.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ida Applebroog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Knife), which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29).
