Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Luna Y El Sol by Alejandro Obregón was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. It achieved a price of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Obregón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bodegón, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).

Die Arbeit La Luna Y El Sol von Alejandro Obregón kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.622,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bodegón beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66) versteigert wurde.
