This artwork by Alejandro Obregón achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March last year. In the Latin American Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 176,400.00 (€ 159,019.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alejandro Obregón; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bodegón sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alejandro Obregón erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 176.400,00 (€ 159.019,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alejandro Obregón; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
