Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La machaca by Alejandro Obregón was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 57,947.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alejandro Obregón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bodegón in May last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La machaca von Alejandro Obregón kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 57.947,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bodegón im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66).
