Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset Garage by Robert Bechtle was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,112.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bechtle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work '64 Chrysler, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset Garage von Robert Bechtle wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.112,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Bechtle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit '64 Chrysler beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32) versteigert wurde.
