In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work 20th and Texas, Early Evening by Robert Bechtle. The »bidding war« ended at USD 229,100.00 (€ 210,029.34), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Bechtle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot '64 Chrysler sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 20th and Texas, Early Evening von Robert Bechtle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 229.100,00 (€ 210.029,34) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Robert Bechtle; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit '64 Chrysler im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32).
