Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Houses On Pennsylvania Avenue by Robert Bechtle was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 151,455.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bechtle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work '64 Chrysler, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 151.455,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Bechtle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit '64 Chrysler beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32) versteigert wurde.
