Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wellfleet Phone Call by Robert Bechtle was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,802.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Bechtle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work '64 Chrysler in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).
