Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Bechtle could be acquired at Phillips in New York in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction, the work W.C. at Block Island changed hands for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,317.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Bechtle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work '64 Chrysler in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Bechtle konnte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session wechselte die Arbeit W.C. at Block Island für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.317,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Bechtle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit '64 Chrysler im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32).
