Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Santa Barbara Patio by Robert Bechtle was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,005.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Bechtle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work '64 Chrysler, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 458,500.00 (€ 351,718.32).

Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Bechtle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit '64 Chrysler beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 458.500,00 (€ 351.718,32) versteigert wurde.
