Auction result well in line with expectations
The work El Silencio De Eros (Antigona) (Construcción Sublime Dos) by Zilia Sánchez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zilia Sánchez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2019 the work Topología Erótica was auctioned for USD 175,000.00 (€ 155,860.35).
