Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Zilia Sánchez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,344.40), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zilia Sánchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Topología Erótica, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 155,860.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Zilia Sánchez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.344,40) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zilia Sánchez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Topología Erótica beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 155.860,35) versteigert wurde.
