Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Zilia Sánchez was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,774.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zilia Sánchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Topología Erótica, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 155,860.35).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.774,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zilia Sánchez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Topología Erótica beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 155.860,35) versteigert wurde.
