A top price for Zilia Sánchez - as previously expected
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Topología Erótica by Zilia Sánchez. The price achieved of USD 175,000.00 (€ 155,860.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Topología Erótica is the most expensive artwork by Zilia Sánchez that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Topología Erótica von Zilia Sánchez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 155.860,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Topología Erótica das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zilia Sánchez, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
