Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY, which included the work Everybody by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,684.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Othello in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Everybody von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.684,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Othello im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48).
