Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in July last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Arch No. 1 sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,996.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Othello in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Arch No. 1 für USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.996,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Othello im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48).
