Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fusion by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,021.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Othello in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fusion von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas kam im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.021,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Othello im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48).
