Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lift Off (Crowd Rocket) by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,949.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Othello in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lift Off (Crowd Rocket) von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas kam im März 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.949,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Othello im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48).
