This artwork by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2015. In the First Open auction, the work Out Of My Mind sold for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,555.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Othello, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).

In der Auktion First Open wurde die Arbeit Out Of My Mind für USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.555,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Othello beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48) versteigert wurde.
