In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Black Silhouette by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,398.95), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Othello in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 117,823.48).

Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Silhouette von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.398,95) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Othello im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 117.823,48).
