S. 13 x 19 7/8 in. (33 x 50.5 cm)
signed and numbered 7/10 in pencil (there was also 1 artist's proof), published by Mourlot, Paris, the last two letters of the signature reinforced by another hand, a few small pale foxmarks in the margins, otherwise in very good condition, unframed.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Freight Cars No. 2 by Ralston Crawford for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,250.50). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contmporary Editions at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralston Crawford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flour Mill #2 in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 654,400.00 (€ 552,609.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Freight Cars No. 2 von Ralston Crawford für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.250,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contmporary Editions bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralston Crawford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flour Mill #2 im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 654.400,00 (€ 552.609,36).
