Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bora Bora by Ralston Crawford was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,454.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralston Crawford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flour Mill #2 in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 654,400.00 (€ 552,609.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bora Bora von Ralston Crawford wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.454,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralston Crawford erzielen.
