Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cabeza Metafisica by Oswaldo Vigas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,452.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cabeza Metafisica von Oswaldo Vigas kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.452,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
