Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Personaje rojo by Oswaldo Vigas for USD 65,000.00 (€ 58,595.51). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswaldo Vigas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paraíso Inconcluso, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Personaje rojo von Oswaldo Vigas für USD 65.000,00 (€ 58.595,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67) versteigert wurde.
