In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Objeto Paisaje (Color) by Oswaldo Vigas. The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 41,003.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Objeto Paisaje (Color) von Oswaldo Vigas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 41.003,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
