Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Hombre descompuesto by Oswaldo Vigas for USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,827.68). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hombre descompuesto von Oswaldo Vigas für USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.827,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
