Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oswaldo Vigas could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Sans Titre changed hands for USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,824.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oswaldo Vigas konnte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Sans Titre für USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.824,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
