Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Os Gêmeos could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 118,750.00 (€ 99,806.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. Other works by Os Gêmeos have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2015 by the work Amigo at USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Os Gêmeos konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 118.750,00 (€ 99.806,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 125.000,00 – 175.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2015 die Arbeit Amigo mit USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44).
