Sheet: 38 x 28 1 ⁄ 4 in. (95.5 x 71.7 cm.) Executed in 2016. This work is number 84 from the edition of 99 (there were also 30 artist's proofs). Published by Idem, Paris, with their blindstamp.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Close Encounters by Os Gêmeos was auctioned at Christies in New York in July last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,693.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Os Gêmeos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amigo in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Close Encounters von Os Gêmeos kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.693,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amigo im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44).
