The auction ended at the price of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 63,882.88), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 480,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Os Gêmeos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amigo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).

Die Arbeit Cantar Ciranda È Como Se Aventurar À Viver Em Alto Mar Pescando Em Una Jungada (Singing Ciranda Is Like Venturing Out To The High Sea To Fish On A Raft) von Os Gêmeos kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 63.882,88) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 480.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amigo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44) versteigert wurde.
