Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sem Título 3 by Os Gêmeos was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 52,728.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Os Gêmeos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amigo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
