Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Os Gêmeos was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 92,500.00 (€ 71,099.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Os Gêmeos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amigo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Os Gêmeos kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 71.099,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amigo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44) versteigert wurde.
