Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Noah Davis could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Bibliophile changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,172.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noah Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Congo #7 in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,453,065.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Noah Davis konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Bibliophile für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.172,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noah Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Congo #7 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.453.065,97).
