In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Judge Judy by Noah Davis. The »bidding war« ended at USD 176,400.00 (€ 150,217.15), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Noah Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Congo #7 in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,453,065.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Judge Judy von Noah Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 150.217,15) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noah Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Congo #7 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.453.065,97).
