Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sketch For Larger More Realistic Painting) by Noah Davis was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 87,133.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noah Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Congo #7 in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,453,065.97).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Sketch For Larger More Realistic Painting) von Noah Davis wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 87.133,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noah Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Congo #7 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.453.065,97).
