This artwork by Noah Davis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2019. In the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Single Mother with Father out of the Picture sold for USD 168,750.00 (€ 153,144.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Noah Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Congo #7 in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,453,065.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Noah Davis erzielte im November 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Single Mother with Father out of the Picture für USD 168.750,00 (€ 153.144,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noah Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Congo #7 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.453.065,97).
