Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Noah Davis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Temptations: Original sold for USD 475,000.00 (€ 420,838.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noah Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Congo #7, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,453,065.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Noah Davis erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Temptations: Original für USD 475.000,00 (€ 420.838,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Noah Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Congo #7 beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.453.065,97) versteigert wurde.
